"My car broke down," you rasp, holding up your arm. "I'm just trying to get a call in to a tow truck." The man grunts, gesturing behind you.
"There'll be no reception as long as the storm rages." His eyes are odd, glowing greenly in the light, and one seems to be quite a bit larger than the other. It's a trick of the light, you think. But, it's more than just a light, really. It's a glowing green mist all around the tiled floor, climbing up the walls, wrapping around and almost through you. As you watch, the man seems to become more and more contorted, warping his body until you realize he's a full fledged warewolf, making direct eye contact with your soaking wet-and-muddy, one-shoed form.
"I should go," you stammer, "Sorry to disturb you."
"Where would you go?" growled the warewolf, "It's a terrible night outside."
He reaches for you, and you shuffle back as far as you can against the wall. You can feel the heat from his breath. You lock eyes, and for a moment, your fear abates. You feel ready for the night, even shoeless. You brace yourself against the wall, and suddenly launch your body forward, onto the wolfman. Unexpectedly, he falls backwards, providing a soft landing space. The surprise and shock in his eyes is interesting, and for a moment, you remember the human concealed within the beast.
